🕹️Disaster management

 Using information and communication technologies, disaster management in ICT4D supports better planning, response, recovery and prevention of different disasters. A part of this is to improve how disasters are managed by relying on technology and to help communities protect themselves against different kinds of risks. Important Parts of Disaster Management in ICT4D 

1. Preparedness: Emergency systems based on ICT give advance notice about possible disasters such as floods, earthquakes or hurricanes. Digital tools allow training and simulation exercises so people and emergency teams can prepare for any disaster. 

2. Response: Disaster situations allow real-time cooperation and coordination among responders, governments and NGOs using ICT. Emergency news and information can be shared with people using mobile applications and social media websites.  


3. Recovery: ICT helps by collecting and examining information to decide which areas to focus on in recovery. Some platforms use technology to get help and support to those in need quickly and openly. 


4.Mitigation: Using data analytics and GIS, officials can find warning zones and examine risks which aids in making improvements in management and assignment of resources.
