☀️Summary of 6 video project

Our life has become much better thanks to technology, yet when used incorrectly, e.g., through hacking, online scams, and fake news, it can do significant damage. Among the biggest ones is cyberbullying, through which individuals utilize digital platforms to harass or intimidate others, which often results in emotional and mental breakdowns. On the one hand, ICT has improved communications, education, health, and business using such modern technologies as AI, cloud computing, and high-speed internet. Digital currency is another rising trend, since it can be used to make fast and convenient transactions online but it is also associated with security and regulatory risks

🕹️Disaster management

Using information and communication technologies, disaster management in ICT4D supports better planning, response, recovery and prevention of different disasters. A part of this is to improve how disasters are managed by relying on technology and to help communities protect themselves against different kinds of risks. Important Parts of Disaster Management in ICT4D   1. Preparedness: Emergency systems based on ICT give advance notice about possible disasters such as floods, earthquakes or hurricanes. Digital tools allow training and simulation exercises so people and emergency teams can prepare for any disaster.  2. Response: Disaster situations allow real-time cooperation and coordination among responders, governments and NGOs using ICT. Emergency news and information can be shared with people using mobile applications and social media websites.   3. Recovery: ICT helps by collecting and examining information to decide which areas to focus on in recovery. Som...

🤖Cyber security

Cybersecurity in ICT4D aim to guard data and systems that support digital infrastructure to prevent any breach of privacy, unauthorized changes or loss.It becomes important because it looks after users’ confidentiality, supports building trust in digital services and assists in achieving development goals by tackling threats to cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is the area of information and communication technology that addresses security issues. Cybersecurity means using different techniques to protect computer networks, devices and information from cyber dangers such as unauthorized entry, attacks and possible harm.  While technology plays a bigger role in developing regions, cybersecurity guarantees that important digital platforms and services are safe for their users.  The value of Cybersecurity in the field of ICT4D  Security for Private and Company Data: Good security systems keep private and company information from being stolen.  Ensuring trust in digital...

💰E- business

am going to outline the ways in which e-business supports ICT4D in just a few points.   1.Thanks to e-business, SMEs can sell their products to customers in other countries which opens up more opportunities for them.  2.New opportunities and employment are encouraged by economic growth which helps the whole economy develop.  3.Automated tasks and better procedures mean e-business helps firms control costs and increase their efficiency.  4.With information dissemination, information is delivered to businesses and consumers quickly, allowing them to decide wisely.  5.With e-business models, financial services are now available to people who have not had access before.

🔮Challenges and future of ICT4D

Challenges of ICT4D  Struggles faced in ICT4D Many initiatives in ICT4D run into trouble due to the lack of funding and other resources which prevents them from being successful.  The problem of pilotitis means that projects are launched, but rarely adopted and soon fail, leaving businesses unable to learn from what already happened.  A shortage of local participation in planning and carrying out projects can lead to solutions that have no impact on the community. Limitations in Digital Literacy: Many people who benefit from ICT4D cannot make good use of the technology because they lack needed digital skills.  * Over-reliance on Grants: A lot of projects are funded by outsiders which can make future growth unstable when the funds are stopped.  * Business Model Problems: A company may find it hard to finance its day-to-day costs after the initial funding ends.  Many projects lack objectives and methods to judge their success which makes it hard to show they ...

♻️E waste

ICT4D focuses on e-waste because technology shifts fast in this field and developing regions count on electronic items more these days. E-Waste Management is beneficial in ICT4D.  Converting e-waste to recycled materials saves scarce resources such as metals, plastics and glass which may be used to create new goods.  Employment Chances: E-waste recycling provides jobs in the community because refurbishing electronics demands skilled workers. By handling e-waste correctly, it is possible to lower the risk of harmful substances such as lead and mercury, spreading in the environment and affecting people’s health.  By practicing responsible recycling, people ensure that devices storing sensitive data are dealt with safely to prevent data theft or breaches.  Refurbished electronics may be provided or offered for little money by companies, helping others get the technology they need and improving education. Handling E-Waste in Information Communication Technology fo...

📚Class work

Three important things I learned from today’s talk show include the use of ICT in healthcare.   1. ICT’s contribution to enhancing the healthcare services in Bhutan   2. Issues, for example, when the internet is not available and financial crises   3. Healthcare is getting support from devices such as phones and other gadgets.    It is interesting to note two things.    Because of ICT, people can now get information more quickly and easily. Better decisions and more accuracy    There is 1 question that continues to interest me. How people who are illiterate will be able to use ICT.
